Sending a notice

Send your notice through the contact page, which opens a ticket with its own link; that link is where our answer appears. To be effective under 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3) it must include:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person authorised to act on their behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to find it — the full address of the page is the most useful thing you can give us.
4. Your contact details: address, telephone number and email address.
5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

What happens next

Material identified in a valid notice is removed promptly. We keep a record of notices received and of what was removed.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include your signature, identification of the material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.

Repeat infringers

Sources that repeatedly supply infringing material are excluded from this site.
